Class Descriptions

Below is a partial list of my classes.  I'm creating new ones all the time and the latest may not be listed here.  If you want to see me present on something, just ask.

Bondage Classes

Quick and Dirty 101

Rope bondage is easy. Really, really easy. That is, it is easy if you have someone to come and show you how to do it. Otherwise, it can be quite frustratingly difficult.  Often what looks impressive when you see other people do it is just a simple matter of confidence, muscle memory and adaptability to fix what did not go the way it was intended.  This class focuses on the basic single column, double column and multi-column ties that form the basis of many types of bondage.  With an emphasis on developing muscle memory skills to allow you to focus more on enjoying the hotness with your play partner than trying to remember basic knots and ties.

Bondage 201

Rope bondage is perceived complexity made up of simple concepts. By now, you know the basic knots and can tie simple bondage with little difficulty. This class expands on that basic knowledge and uses those basics to build the beautiful ropework you’ve always admired and wished you could do. Bring rope, this will be an interactive class. A limited amount of rope will be available for those who have none.

How'd they do that?

Some of us were blessed by having a support network to teach us all forms of hot bondage ties. Many of us had to do the hard work on our own. This course will cover some basics such as "Why do many accomplished riggers use hemp rope and many others use synthetics?" With the basics out of the way, we'll examine a few representative examples of the most common learning device available to nearly all aspiring rope bondage aficionados. On line photos. We all have a bunch of kinky photos on our hard drives that we wished we could reproduce. We'll discuss and interactively attempt to reproduce the examples in class. Bring rope.

Bondage Mechanics

Why? That's the question I always ask when people tell me things like hemp is better, use 6mm rope, don't put a tightening not around your subject's neck. The reasoning is often not obvious and, sometimes, downright counter-intuitive. Understanding these reasons will allow the rigger to better remember these items deemed "common knowledge" and make well reasoned choices. This class will: - Clarify some of the basic things you've been taught to do and not do. - Cover strengths of common materials and safety factor guidelines - Cover the role of friction and tension in bondage - Cover a small selection of bondage techniques that demonstrate why we do some things the way we do

2% bondage class

Many of us have sat through classes to learn that one little tidbit (the 2%) of information that we wind up incorporating into our own rope style. This class will focus on the Aha! moments of the Shibaricon weekend where you discover that little trick that makes your bondage better. This class is an interactive retrospective of the weekend. You will be given the opportunity to share the new things you learned that made the weekend good for you.

Rope Finishing & Care

For dedicated rope people, their rope is a fetish. There are about probably as many types of rope, ways to process rope, and ways to care for it as there are types of toys in the leather community. This class will cover some of the different rope types available along with basic care information for each. Finally, we will cover a simple method for processing your own raw hemp into a soft and usable form. There will be examples of each phase of the process to show how the rope changes as it is worked.

Harnesses for Suspension

Suspension is an exhilarating pursuit. It can also be frustrating, confusing and downright dangerous. Unless you are fortunate enough to have experienced riggers in your area, you must rely on analyzing photographs which may not provide adequate information. This class will cover the basics of creating several common harnesses and will showcase the key elements to making a good harness.

Thinking on your feet

How to make that tie work when you are halfway through and forgot the instructions. Basically, this is a blending of various elements from Lochai’s artistic aspects class to Graydancer’s improv classes. It is a hands on class to help people get a feel for improvising and make things work as they get into the dungeon to try to make that chest harness/suspension/whatever work when you get there and realize that you forgot half of it.

Rope for Photography

Rope for the dungeon and rope for photographs share the common intent to restrain. However, bondage for photography has a special set of aesthetic requirements to make it look good on film. This class will not need or use cameras as it is about the. Various Bondage modular classes I’ve taught so many different bondage classes that I can do a class on almost any subset. Chest harnesses, arm binders, hog-ties, furniture ties, extreme bondage, etc.

Throwing away the Book: techniques to take your bondage to the next level

The first steps of bondage can be intimidating. The desire to “follow the book” so that you get it right is always there. Perhaps you even take your bondage book out to the play party so that you can get it just right. This class will teach you the techniques that can free you from the book and allow you to use it as a reference instead of a bible.

Armbinders

The holy grail of bondage is often the elbows touching behind the back in an arm-binder of some sort. Images depicting this position are some of the most prevalent in BDSM media. Not everyone is quite that flexible. This class will teach several armbinder techniques suitable for people of any flexibility.

Rope Gags & Bondage of the Mouth

The mouth is often overlooked when we are doing bondage. Rope in the mouth can dramatically reinforce helplessness, feed into the rope fetish itself or just plain look hot. You will be introduced to several techniques from simple bands in the mouth to a full head harness gag made from rope. Expect plenty of sexy drool.

Performance rope play

Sometimes play is about the intimate connection of two people and sometimes it is about showmanship and often, it can be both.  This class will help you take your rope play and add flair and flourish that will keep your rope partner engaged and you both (or more) having a great time at it.

Shock and Awe

A lot of rope performances follow a pretty predictable pattern. Take one part Enigma, add two parts intricate rope work and one part suspension and simmer for 45 minutes and you have the typical rope performance.  This discussion and demo class is aimed at taking rope performances out of the formula and truly engaging the audience in something awesome.

Take My Takatekote…Please!

]You mean, there is something besides the Takatekote?  Yes, the Takatekote is really, really good at what it does. It is so good at its purpose that people tend to forget its drawbacks and the other harnesses that can be used instead. This class focuses on other chest harnesses that can be used for decorative to suspension purposes.

General Modular Classes

I can teach on a wide variety of topics.  If you don't see the bondage topic you need, contact me and we will discuss how I can make it happen for you.

General BDSM Classes

Non-Fluffy Sensual Play

Sensual play is associated with bunny fur and gentle caresses. Some people perceive it as too light and fluffy, little more challenging than after care. This class will challenge those perceptions and show that sensual play can be used to take your partner from pure ecstacy to incredible suffering and back again with nothing more than your hands. Add in a few delicious implements and you can keep your bottom quivering for as long as you want.

Fetish

The BDSM world is filled with fetishes. Stockings, High-Heels, Fishnets, Corsets, Latex...Need we go on? There is a fine art to fetish. An art that involves everything from fit to finish. In an era where we live with mass produced items bought over the internet with no ability to test before we get our items, it is a hit and miss (mostly miss) proposition to truly fulfill your fetishes. This class will cover what makes a fetish, how to feed your fetish, and some of the finer points of the above mentioned fetishes which Leon holds quite dear to his heart.

How Not To Be A Dominant

Being a Dominant is hard work. The emotional pitfalls are enough to make a grown person curl up into a ball and whimper. There are so many ways to do the lifestyle. Nobody can tell one what to do or what not to do either. This presentation will highlight some of the common mistakes in all phases of the spectrum from meeting partners to managing relationships and visiting public spaces. Each person should discover their own best practices but we will highlight some of the worst experiences so you need not make the same mistakes. The workshop focuses on Dominant behaviors and activities but submissives will gain a lot regarding the thought processes so they may blackmail....er.....respectfully assist in the Dominant's journey.

History of the Leather Archives and Museum (not Leather History)

The Leather lifestyle (or fetish/ D/s lifestyle as some call it) has been in existence for as long as recorded history. Everything from archaeological records of stone carvings to the modern web page are part of our history and until recently, our history has been recorded as part of the general historical record. The Leather Archives & Museum (LA&M) has a goal of preserving the history of leather groups of all orientations and geographical location and to provide open access to the resources they preserve. The LA&M has a significant collection spanning a good portion of the later 20^th century and this lecture will discuss the role of the archives in collecting and preserving these artifacts in addition to contemporary artifacts. As the community evolves with the dramatic changes brought on by the Internet and greater accessibility it is critical that we adapt to archive these new media as well as the physical documents and artifacts traditionally collected by organizations like the LA&M. We will discuss the ways in which your local organizations can contribute to this history in a way that is effective for the continuing preservation of our history.

Beyond Subspace: doll-space, robot-space, and other mental states of tops and botoms

People often talk of subspace as if it is the only place a person can go in a scene. The amount of furniture that can be rearranged in someone's mind is far greater than that. There's the flying of subspace, the hyper focus of robot space and the detachment of dollspace to start. Bring in the mental tricks that can be acheived with suggestion and you have a huge playground that few explore. That's just the bottom! Tops get our own range of mental goodies to play with, too!

Pitfalls of Alternative Relationships

Alternative relationships are amazing. So much so that we often forget the obvious in our rush to the "new shiny". Whether it be a new lover or a newfound D/s relationship, there are pitfalls that are difficult to avoid if you know about them. If you don't know about them, the results can be catastrophic. This class will talk about those lessons learned by hard experience and explore tools for dealing with them.

Rough Body Play

Kicking, punching, slapping and tossing your partner around like a rag doll can be great fun. The physicality of the experience can be a great release for both parties as the whole body is involved in a play that can range from passive for the bottom to a knock down drag out fight. This class will cover basic safety as well as be interactive. Audience participation is encouraged but not required. Dancing in the Ropes This is a new class concept based around suspension. The concept is that instead of tying for static suspension, tie so that the bottom moves around and “dances”. If you like this one, I’ll work up a proper class description. Rope Gags and bondage of the mouth This will be a class that focuses on rope and the mouth. This is a new class I’m developing and am excited that it could be insanely hot.

The Bored Tops Round Table

Sometimes we lose our inspiration and play becomes work.  This round table is a moderated discussion which will help the class explore ways to keep the excitement alive even after you think you've already done everything to the point where there's no fun left or when you've tried all the hot stuff and found that reality keeps the fantasy from coming true.

Photography Classes

Fetish Photography Basics

Fetish photography is much like any other photography.  It's just that your mom won't hang it on the wall.  This class will cover some photographic technique but will cover much more the concepts of composition, emotion and finding your own style.

Shooting Real (kinky) Life

Sometimes a studio isn't handy and the best photos can come out of the real-life events you are exposed to.  This class will cover techniques for getting great photos in a variety of situations where you don't have control of lighting, movement or even any idea of what is going to happen next.

Ask the Photographer

Most photo classes result in the photographer trying to pander to skill levels in the audience from basic to advanced and the class cannot learn what it needs to.  This class allows the audience to pick the brains of the instructor and learn what they need to from "how did you do that?" to "how do I do this?"
